Great product for everyday usage. Supurb HD viewing.
Sound is OK but better with an add-on surround sound system for HD movies.
The unit has access to Internet Widgets. Hopefully this will be fully explored and exploited in the future with additional capabilities.

After reviewing and going back and forth between a Sony TV, Samsung, and this one, I decided that the specs as good as the other two makers or better but at a lower price. I am an avid golf fan and purchased this television with the sole purpose for watching Tiger Woods and my other favorite golfers play. Man, on the regular local channels with an antenna, the picture is really sweet. But, I noticed that on some other channels, I noticed the picture wasn't as great as some others. I think it is for two reasons: some channels do broadcast in digital signals but not all are 1080p, 1080i, 720p. There is a big difference in each one. And, I have yet to mess with the television preset adjusted colors. I wish it came with a dvd to help you calibrate it- which makes sense becuase of the money spent. Anyways, I found it very easy to connect my PS3, old XBOX and my PSP to it. Oh my, how the pic looks with the PS3 and a blue ray dvd. I called Sharp for help on connecting the PS3 and they solved the problem faster than Sony! I am in love with my Sharp Aquos (and I believe that the fact Aquos is promoted by golf/PGA is the main reason I bought it!) so far and I hope it works for a long time. But, to make sure, I went ahead and got the extended warranty for peace of mind...plus..it came with free HDMI cables and other connections!

This is the best buy for the money

This HDTV certainly beats the quality and images of most higher priced HDTV of the 46" class on the market. I have shopped for several weeks both online and at stores to compare.
Very nice overall performance. Would recommend this product to people who are in the market for this size TV.

It is a bit slow responding to the remote when changing channels. Other than that it is a great TV. Awesome sound & picture, only PIP could make it better.

Excellent picture when viewing HD signal (best I've seen among LCDs). Very good blacks! Excellent motion compensation (the 120mhz frame rate compensations is top notch). The sound is weak. But, most enthusiasts will use a home theater system. Thus, this should not be an issue. Blu-Ray images are incredible. Sometimes the black level compensation can be bothersome. I've compared this set with similar sony's and samsungs. Sony is a close second. However, the image on these sharps definitely has an edge. The Ethernet connection is useless.

This is a home use TV purchased by a non-technical non-enthusiast who wants a good product for a reasonable price. This TV fit my needs perfectly, and I never had one minute of buyer's remorse, as it is everything I expected it to be. Great color, excellent contrast, perfect resulution, and no flutter whatsoever while watching fast moving sporting events such as the NFL. The 120Hz refresh rate on this TV is well worth the extra cost. I absolutely love its performance. The only downside was in the setup directions. For some reason, the translation of the instructions did not clearly use plurals, so that when I read something in the singular, and there was two of them on the TV, it made no sense whatsoever. I was very frustrated, but called my cable provider, Time Warner, who did a great job of walking me through the cable box installation, and had all of my TV model information at hand as well, so they helped me set up the TV and remote too. After 20 minutes or so on the phone with Time Warner, the TV works great. I recommend this TV to everyone I know who is looking for a mid-range LCD TV. You can buy a TV of this size for less than $1,000.00, but you won't get the great contrast and refresh rate of this one.

I am no videophile, but I did my homework before spending [$] on a TV. I chose this model for its great color, high resolution, the 120hz refresh rate and the impressive contrast ratio. I was not disappointed. I ordered it from Abe's and it was delivered four working days later. No damage to the packaging, and I had it out and set up in just an hour or so. I got help from Time Warner Cable in setting up the HD cable box and making the TV and cable remote play together, which was really good, as I have little patience with setting up electronics. Once it was set up, I was in heaven. This TV has no downside that I can see. On the second day I was watching NFL football and wondered how I ever enjoyed it on the old 27 inch RCA TV. I love the HD TV and would recommend it to anyone who wants to spend this much on a TV. I would also tell anyone shopping for a wide screen TV that you can get a good one in this size for less than[$] and you will probably be pleased with it. But if you want to be sure you'll be pleased, buy this model Sharp Aquos from Abe's.

The TV surpassed all my expectations. I've been shopping for months to find that "just right" combination of all the features this TV has to offer.

The service provided by Abe's was far and away the best i've dealt with in trying to find ways of saving this season. The sales person I dealt with of course attempted to upsell, but when I said "No thanks" he didn't try to push me into a corner. His explaination of the product was great and through.

I will continue to shop at Abe's as my first "go to" site to purchase electronics.

alot less blur while watching sports , and no lag on video games.

I have had it for about 4 months and the TV delivers all that Sharp says it does. the blacks are true and HD is very clear. I even paused the screen and took photos of a back yard patio show for our builders, It looks like I was there in person. I am happy with the purchase and all the connections that this thing has. This is my fist HD TV and setup clear and had no problems. I did call Sharp service once because the screen did not come on one day and I got through with no problem, all I had to do is unplug the TV so that it could re-boot. This is a top line product for Sharp, and they extended my warranty 3 months just for registering the product. [...] Also, sound from this thing is great and is clear at higher volumes. We put it in our great room which has a wall of windows - there is no glare.

I found the set up to be easy.I started a company 13 years ago that used LCD's and Sharp was the leader back then in LCD supply. I am quite pleased with Aquos and think that I have made the right purchase here. I had debated between Sony and Sharp but am very thankful that I saved at least $500 by going with the Sharp unit.The viewing angle is fine and the clarity and the resolution of the screen are excellent.Save your money and by a Sharp.Dealing with Abe's was also very good. [...]I would buy from Abe's again.
