I bought this TV to replace a Sharp LC52D94U that had a Wii remote thrown through it. The picture on the LC52SE92U is far superior to the model from just 18 months earlier. The black levels are much better and Sharp has gotten rid of the 'banding' issue that plagued the previous model. I am absolutely thrilled with the picture, sound, slim bezel design and thinness of the TV. The only downside is the limited (3) HDMI ports. [...]

This TV is excellent for video games, TV or movies. Excellent connection options. Great black depth, great picture even from wide angles. I work with many types of LCD/ Plasma TVs at work, after using 65"SEs at work I fell in love with them and got one for my house, however, 65 inch would have been gaudy large so we went with 52" for the room.

Love it but Mitz 52 has better picture. no usb or 1394. aquos link kind of a joke, no recorders. aquos net could be cool, kind of limited now. Fast menus, good sound, Looks good, thin, lighter weight.

I have owned this TV for about four months. I did a lot of research and believe this is the best TV for the money hands down. Great tv the picture is awesome the resolution and color saturation are incredible. Sound is perfect you can hear spoken dialog very clearly.

Really the only negative is all the connections are in the back - this makes it impossible to make connections after the tv is mounted on the wall. Luckily we we able to set the tv on the mantel and were able to finagle the tv around to get the cables connected. TV remote is a bit crowded and only a few buttons light up.

Will buy another when needed and will strongly recommend to anyone thinking about purchasing one.

This Sharp Special Edition LCD is an excellent overall performer with some unique features (Aquosnet, simple user interface,excellent viewing with no significant picture drop-off, a faux wrapped finish- which cuts down on the frames light reflections), as it easily competes with the Samsung' and Sony's top end offerings. I must say, I was most concerned with some of the negative press that a few of the Sharp models were getting with reports of their vertical banding issues. I would love to write more about this product. The problem is...it has not worked since it arrived. I bought the extended "in home" warranty only to have the repairman say he would only pick it up and take it back to the shop. When he "FIXED" the TV he brought it back only to find that the HDMI inputs don't work. I am now, 3 weeks later, still trying to resolve the problem

High quality TV but built-in settings are useless. I just use "user" and adjust for best picture. The manual is poor to bad. Overall I'm happy and it is the only 52-inch LCD with a bezel narrow enough that the TV fit into my wall cabinets.
