My brother bought a Sony Bravia about 2 years ago and I was extremely impressed with it. My dad saw my brother's TV and he shortly thereafter bought himself one and he has been loving it for the last two years. So I was pretty much set on buying a Sony Bravia. My brother bought his from Abes of Maine and had nothing but positive things to say of the experience and he swore that I wouldn't find the same model cheaper anywhere else. I read some reviews on Bravias and checked out their pictures at stores and decided to go with the W series. At the local electronic stores they all had this TV for at least $250 more than Abes of Maine was selling it for, [...] So I decided to buy it from Abes of Maine. Turned out to be a great decision. The TV arrived in perfect condition[...] and I've been enjoying it ever since. It gets a beautiful picture. I previously didn't even have an HDTV so I am just in awe of this picture. I'm very happy with my purchase and my experience with Abes of Maine.

Bought mine from Abes, [...]. This was my first HDTV, did on-line research and decided on this one. Picture is beautiful with the Blue ray player or broadcast TV stations with HD. Would highly recommend this TV. Speakers in this SONY TV sound fine; I read that the Samsung's had poor internal speakers. I like this TV due to the glare resistant screen. A happy customer.

We own five Sony's in our home, wouldn't buy anything else. I feel if your going to be watching it for the next 15 to 20 years you want the best picture you can get. The Sony that was in our bedroom this new one replaced is 22 years old and still works great, now its in my office. Buy Sony for value and picture quality you will never be disappointed. [...]. We had the 52" W-series Bravia in our Home Theater. Because of that TV so much, we got this 46" W-series Bravia as our 2nd TV. The picture on both is fabulous and watching them is a joy. They're crystal clear, bright, and the contrast is outstanding. Great product.

Shopped around. Samsung had lousy speaker reviews. Switched my search to Sony and picked this one. The matte screen works well with minimal reflection. would recommend this TV which i bought at Abes of Maine. TV arrived in perfect shape and worked perfectly after plugging it in.

This TV is great. It exceeded my every expectaton. The HD channels are so clear it is hard to watch non HD stuff. My wife thought the non HD channels were not as good on the new LCD TV as they were our existing 36" tube style Sony TV. We set the 2 TV s up side by side and she admitted she was wrong. The NON HD stuff looks as good or better on the new 46" LCD TV. But it is hard to switch from HD to non HD.

I am a Television Engineer. I see all the good stuff. Yes some like the Samsung better but all my wife's stuff is Sony so they fit together. Anyway let me tell you I upgraded my Directv to hd and the Sony with a 1080 signal into it shines.
you will not be disappointed with Sony no Baloney.

The best feature about this TV is that the 480 signals look good. Unlike alot of HDTVs that do a poor job of processing a clean 480 resolution signal, Sony gets it right. It's capable of being hooked to the internet to receive firmware updates. With a cable conection you can take advantage of the free TV guide. I also take advantage of its filtering capabilities in the menu setup. The HD 1080 I/P signals are breath taking. I can read the tattoos on the football players when watching an NFL game in HD. The detail when watching the "Planet Earth" series is amazing. I have increased my couch potato hours because I can't leave my seat. HELP ME! :)[...]
