This TV is simply plug and play, easy to setup, picture quality is much better than non-XBR TV. Sony should add a couple of more AV inputs and Media card input. Other than that...I am happy to have it in my living room.

We have the tv in the very bright living room. The glare reduction feature is one of the reasons we got it, but it isn't great. When the tv is on blueray or high def HD DVD, it's amazing, otherwise it's a little pixelated or blurry. If you have FIOS or something, it'll probably look great, but not with regular cable. Great, easy to use menu, has great features, like play your mp3 or camera on. The features are what made us decide to keep it. Overall, it's a great tv.

I have six sky lights and eight windows in my living room. I can watch this TV in full sunlight with the drapes open. Great TV and I should have bought it instead of the JVC in the first place. I was torn between the Samsung and the Sony but the Samsung has a shiny screen and more glare.

It's my main T.V. in the family room, part of my home theater set-up. Assembled in seconds, programmed in about two minutes. Image is superior using HDMI cable. I see others complain about off axis viewing, but I can't agree. Image is viewable almost 180 degrees off axis.

Abe's verified the order same day, shipped it promptly, and it arrived in pristine condition! This is my second T.V. from Abe's, and I recommend them highly to all my friends.

Sony has built a very good flat screen LCD TV (Sony Bravia XBR6). I bought the 46" and it's good for the living room. The small frame is nice. It looks elegant and classy and high tech all in one. The weight is about 60 pounds on the wall. It looks good on the wall or on the stand it comes with. It is very flush mounted on the wall. The sound is very very good - addional speakers are not needed unless you want full surround sound. The remote lights up when commanded! So far, it seems easy to learn and control. Oh, the picture is very acceptable. It's more pricier than other similar models but worth it.

I had been waiting for prices to come down, and wow, what we were missing. SONY XBR's have been my TV of choice for the last 15 years. The bravia 46 XBR6 is by far the best of the LCD's I have seen. The have more connection options than the average enthusiast like myself would ever use.

I have a cable box and require the TV to use the HDMI 1 port, but each time I turn on the TV it goes to cable guide or channel 2 and I need to manually change to HDMI 1 port.
Also you have to go through alot of menu options for the sleep timer.
Should have individual buttons for this or at least be able to program this into the initial setup.

Replaced cathode ray tube 36" XBR. I won't miss it! This is a quantum step up...but you must read & understand the manual. Sony is short sighted not to supply 4 rear mounting screws for wall mounting. Isn't a [$]+ price tag enough, but NO...the want $2/screw!!!

I took a long time to decide which TV to buy. After all I went for the Sony 46XBR6, because I liked the TV when I made my research at different locations (Best Buy, J&R, Circuit City)and I was able to get a good deal with Abe's of maine. [...] easy to install and all what I was looking for. I was thinking of buying the XBR8 because it has backligth LED, but that was way to expensive compared to what it gives you on top.To make it short: I really like my choice

This is my first LCD TV, replacing a 22 yr old behemoth. I did a lot of research before deciding on this beauty. It is just fabulous, and delivers a much better picture that the Panasonic, Samsung, LG's and others I've seen. You won't be sorry if you get this one!

I was waiting for this particular set to come out. It is the perfect size for my wall cabinet, room dimensions and viewing distance. I like the semi glossy surface much better than the Samsungs due to the windows in my space. I was pleased by the off angle viewing on this set because I like to watch from my kitchen island as well as the couch. The only thing I can say that I might be sad about is that it is not a LED model. So far I can't tell the difference in actual picture quality but over time LED might be the better way to go. You could wait till the price drops... I chose not to.

The more hi def you put into her the better she will respond in kind. Regular def tv signals look like she-ite. High def tv signals and blu ray look awesome! Hense the title of this review. Regular dvds look great.She upconverts them great.BUT, the lag time between switching tv stations is aggravating, the menu is heavy and somewhat aggravating.The information screen appears every switch and lags for too long, the size can be somewhat altered in menu but it still hangs too long before dissapearing. I bought this because this was supposed to be Sonys best. Would recommend (if you can hack these "aggravating" issues)Hey !!!! DONT BUY A SINGLE ARM WALL MOUNT-[...]

I waited a long time to purchase an LCD HDTV and this SONY more than meets my expectations. I watch a lot of movies and intend to build a home theater around this TV. I also have my laptop connected and view internet videos, movies and TV shows. My only complaint is that off axis viewing is not great.

I was quite disappointed with this set. This is the 2nd XBR LCD TV we ordered. Comparing with older 40 inch XBR, the first generation of Sony XBR LCD TV, the off axis viewing become problematic due to fading color and light. Black level is also worse. The 1080p resolution is impressive when playing Blu-Ray disc. However, viewing HDTV program at 1080i is a big disappointment.

Pros: The resolution on this XBR is superb and the color is fantastic!
Cons: Black level is not stable. When in darks scenes, I notice that the backround darkness lightens up a little bit. Other than that, this is a great tv!!!

This is our main TV in the house. The living room is large, front to back, but narrow. TV setup is best in the corner. I wasn't sure how this TV would fit. It fits perfectly (although I could have gone to the 52"). It looks beautiful. My wife is now even letting me watch hockey since she can now see the puck. I absolutely love this TV.

This stays in the center of family space. Immage is great at 6 to 18 feet. Poor up close. Remote won't work at more than 14 feet. Time delay between every channel change. Can't scan channels easily. TV guide loses info regularily.

Great picture and sound, although I use stereo for sound mostly. The remote works well but curser control bottons are too close to the surrounding controls, so it takes a little getting used to it.
