We were already sold on this model since my son had purchased the same model over the Christmas holidays. It was expensive but well worth it. The Super Bowl game was amazing, I felt like I was actually down on the field with the players. HDTV nature programs are spectacular. Even regular TV is improved. Biggest problem we have is a huge collection of DVD which are not Blu-Ray, but that too will change over time.

I did lots of comparative shopping on this product once I decided on a Sony LCD TV. The TV is excellent. It was an easy set up and it performs flawlessly. It takes some getting used to after a 36" tube set. Sony has their act together when it comes to electronics.

My very extensive research & comparisons centered on this Sony and the comparable Samsung. Both had all the basics I was looking for, but the Sony excelled on the two issues I was most concerned about: Viewing angle and reduced glare. When I saw them side-by-side at a store, the Sony was clearly the better choice.

The picture is good, but I expect it to get better when my provider installs HD service later this month. The sound was also good, but got much better when we connected component speakers.

I spent months researching, and talking with everyone I could find. I finally wound up in a store that had all of the tv's I had researched on display. Amazingly they where all right next to each other with the same input. The Samsung had a great picture, but the reflextion of everything outside was a huge distraction. Excellent deal from Abe's of Maine. Tilt mount also purchased from Abe's mounted easily and works smoothly.

This is our first LCD TV. We liked it so much and were so pleased with the HD picture, we purchased a 32" Sony for our Bedroom within a week of this purchase.

I purchased this TV from Abe's of Maine and had it hooked up the beginning of this week in my living room. It is incredible. I also purchased a Sony Blu-Ray Disc Player and both the Satalitte HD Service and the Disk Player are totally awesome. I can't believe the clarity of the picture. When it comes to high definition lcd tv's look no further than SONY "w" series or higher. The 12hz really makes a difference with fast action scenes. You cannot go wrong with this tv. I now have two. A 40" "W" series in my bedroom and the 52" "W" series in my living room

Only minor caveat is the frame is a bit shiny, which reflects white light. Great picture, rich vivid color, excellent blacks with a little adjustment of the settings. I use a A/V receiver with surround so I can't comment on sound quality. Just purchased a Blu-Ray player........can't wait to see a movie on it!!!!!!

I have just entered the world of HDTV and it couldent get any better. I bought this tv to replace a regular old standard def 27 inch television and be the center piece of my home theatre system, which I use to watch movies, cable, play video games and view pictures. I cant say enough about this tv it is pretty much perfect in every catagory. The picture is very bright on the vivid setting with very dark blacks and bright whites. The on screen menu is easy to use even on the first time. The only flaw about this TV is the picture in picture is usless cause you need to hook up to the rf which requires using two seperate cable boxes with two remotes or you will only be able to view the same show which of course is pointless. The overall appearance of the tv is great its glossy black with a silver sony logo on the front and when the tv is turned on the sony logo illuminates white, also there is a panel of tinted glass along the bottom inbetween the speakers which has power, standby, and timer lights imbedded. I would definately recommend this tv to anyone looking for the best.

I had a Mitzsubishi 52 DLP for three years and That Tv was so hard to set up compaired to this one. The instructions are so easy I find nothing wrong with this tv and I have had it for three weeks now I would highly recomend this tv.[...]

PRO: Very sharp picture. Like the ability to customize about everything you can think of. Very happy with product.
CON: get some reflection from windows, must keep drapes closed in daytime.

Really did the research on this tv. Have not made any picture adjustments yet and the picture is really nice.This tv is set for 1080p and my sattilite company is only broacasting in 1080i right now and will switch over in February. I am sure it will get even better.

Excellent picture and sound! When changing channels the setting for wide zoom, normal, full, and zoom will change itself. This requires resetting which is aggravating.

We replaced a Mitsubishi DLP projection with this TV when it stopped working. Apparently typical of Mitsubishi TV's when 3 years old. Don't buy Mitsubishi. Love the Sony but got gun shy and got the 5 year warranty.

This is a great TV. You cant go wrong with this model. The color is the best and even on non HD channels the picture is clear. The anti glare this tv has because of the screen is great because i have a few windows that during the day brings in light. Even at night there is no glare from interior lights. I love this TV!!!! Great price on abs of maine
