Great reception with the new digital broadcast channels. Don't need to pay for expensive subscription service to receive high definition broadcasts. I like the PAP (picture and picture) feature but would like a bit more flexibility in options and one button control. Picture is great! and images are good even in a bright sunlit room.

This is a great TV for a great price. Blu Ray movies played on a PS3 look amazing. The customer service from Abe's was second to none. Highly recommended.

While I have two other HD sets, a Bravia LCD and a Pioneer Elite plasma (both three years old) in other locations I actually bought the 52XBR6 to take the place of an old non HD XBR 36" set. I narrowed my decision down to this and the Samsung LN52A650 and I don't think you can really go wrong with either. I ended up choosing the Sony as I needed it to be able to handle a bright room and other reviews mentioned that it was better for bright rooms than the Samsung. Sure enough the Sony is great in the bright room. In fact unless you want to go with the Samsung 950 or with the Sony XBR8 I really don't think you'll find a nicer picture. Viewing angles are amazing. The HD blows away the models from three years ago. Only (minor) drawback is that the sound isn't as impressive as the picture (which I don't think will matter to most as typically you'll be listening to a theater set up with it).

This TV is simply amazing. Simple to set up. Simple to change. Easy Menus to use, follow and apply. Screen has low , very low glare. Puts off very little heat. I have been search a year and this TV nailed it perfectly!

I have this television in my large great room and fits nicely, not too large not too small. The room is very bright due to large windows on one side of the room, but even during peak brightness I have no problems viewing the television.My only complaint is with my cable...I need more HD channels. It is painful to watch in non-HD now.[...] The price was at least several hundred dollars cheaper than nearest competitor and shipping was free.

Where to start...This TV, simply put, is AMAZING! The brightness, clarity and vividness it puts out will blow your mind. You'll never want to watch another TV after this one. Very nice looking as well. Will look good on a stand or a mount. Doesn't come with any HDMI cables so plan on getting them before hand. Something to be aware of...As with most (if not all) large LCD's, standard definition programs look like [*] on them. So bad that you may not want to watch them. With that said, if you're not going to upgrade your programing to HD, then an LCD may not be for you unless of course all you plan on using it for is watching DVD's or BlueRay through it.

I can't stop watching my new HDTV. [...]set up in no time. I have it in a bright sunroom and glare is not a problem. My son in law took one look and said it was the sharpest picture he had ever seen on a TV and he is right. I hooked it up to all Sony equipment - BDPS350 Blue Ray disc player and HTS2300 Home Theatre system. Updated my cable service to HD and everything is flawless. I looked at a lot of TV's and did a lot of research. I am happy to say it all paid off in the fact that I feel like I purchased the best TV on the market. Everything enhanced by the fact that Abes of Maine is a fine company to do business with and I am always satisfied with their service. LOVE MY HDTV.

Excellent picture and resolution.Sound was better than anticipated. The only downside is a glare in the daytime even with the shades drawn.I'm glad I did'nt get a plasma. Nicole at Abe's did a wonderful job from start to finish.Customer service in this economy sometimes leaves a lot to be desired,but not with Abe's. Don't hesitate to buy.

i had watched the price drop for a good 3 months(i am sure it will continue to somewhat, but i wanted the TV for the holidays). i had a 46" V series that was moved to the bedroom, and my wife, parents, and in-laws all saw enough difference to actually compliment the quality of the picture. the unit is wall mounted and connected to all sony products(home-theater sound and blue-ray) so the operation is seemless. the picture and sound options offer enough choice to select for usage, but are not overwhelming. this is the third sony LCD in my house, and would recommend without question.

I would buy this product again.
