After reviewing several flat screens we decided to go with the Panasonic Plasma in large part b/c of the price and based on good reviews. CR listed it as the best for 42" with an above average picture. So far the picture has usually been somewhat grainy and sometimes rippled.

Although I wanted a 1080p, I ended up with this 720p and I can't complain. When comparing, there is not a whole lot of difference. I'd still choose the 1080p, though, if given the chance.

This is really a class-leading HDTV Plasma by Panasonic. With some minimal tweaking, colors are spot on and black levels are deep.

There is a reason Consumer Reports rates this TV as a best buy! Picture and sound better than my brothers 1080p Samsung for significantly less You will never go wrong with a Panasonic
