The TH-42PZ80U VIERA Plasma 42"(41.6" Diagonal) TV from Panasonic can be the cornerstone of your home theater. This is my second Panasonic plasma purchase in the past 12 months (other is a 58 inch) and I find that this TV is as good as the first. I'm using this in my bedroom and it's such fun to watch movies and TV in bed. Many have told me that LCD is better but I'm not sure how anything could top this great TV. Would recommend panasonic plasmas to everyone.

Picture is great using standard definition video via cable service or standard DVD. Motion is rendered clearly without blocking and smear that I've seen on some LCD displays. I can't wait to try it with a hi def source. Set up was easy; no need to change the preset video controls. Great value!

I have replaced my old tv with this one. I love that it is slim and I can turn it easily so it can be seen from whatever room I am in. I got the 42" bcz the Consumer Reports said that was the size if you are more than 6' away, and it is perfect.I really like that i can change the format on the screen from the remote-VERY easy to do. i am really enjoying my DVDs so much more and the concert DVDs are great!

This is a very well built plasma HDTV. As long as you burn it in for 100 hours or so and don't abuse it afterward you should not have any problems. Video games work fine as well.
