Awsome set. Flush mount is really tight to hook up cables but it's worth the trouble.

This is my second Panasonic Plasma TV (other is 4 year old 42" EDTV) and I love them both. The picture is fantastic and the price was excellent. My bulldog loves watching it too!!!

Panasonic makes it hard to pick a unit. I went with the PZ85 for the PC port and the side HDMI. I wanted the 850 but couldn't quite justify it. The glossy bezel attracts dust, fingerprints and makes the screen look less black. The standard configurations particularly Vivid really draw a lot of power. This display really needs to be calibrated before long-term usage.

An unexpected pro to this tv is that my son who lives on campus is spending more time with me now. At least I think it's with me and not this awesome tv. He is a sports junky and says this tv is great for sports since it is so fast.

This is a replacement of a 5 year-old Panasonic ED plasma which died in a power surge.
The Z85 is a bit larger but filled the area nicely. I'm not a big fan of the patent-leather looking shininess of the new set frame & bezel. The dull finish of the old set announced the image, not the device itself.
The set-up was the definition of easy- unplugged old display & plugged in new one. Soft ware set up took about 5 minutes , but was fine out of the box. Sound is not used as I have a receiver and separate speaker system- no comment. The set includes the stand, and it works nicely.
The picture... noticeably better. Dark movies, bright outdoor movies, and fast sports are all clearer and sharper. I did not expect to see a great deal of improvement from the old set as the source signal is still largely 780p or less (no BluRay), so this was a bonus.

I use this TV to watch HD programming, watch Blu-Ray movies and play videogames. This TV has been an excellent TV for my Playstation 3. The Blu-Ray playback has been excellent and the picture quality for games has been amazing!

The only gripe I have is that is does generate some heat (as all plasmas do). Unfortunately, the TV is positioned close to the thermostat which caused the temperature on the thermostat to go up. To remedy this I just had the thermostat moved or you can just have the TV setup away from the thermostat (which I really couldn't do).

This TV works great! How can you beat Abes for quality [...] and a great price. If you are looking for a great High Def TV for sports or movies I would recommend this Panasonic. I shopped a long time at many stores before settling on Abes. I don't regret it. You won't either.
