We use this everyday to just to watch TV or movies.
The picture quality is excellent for all the higher resolution inputs- Bluray/DVD. Everyone who has seen it has been blown away with the picture quality. No blur during action sports events.
The sound is fine, but you should use a good surround sound receiver and speakers to get the most out of your movie experience.
The setup was very easy and it looks great as part of the living room.
As with all plasmas, ensure you are going to use it in a darkened room to prevent glare from the screen.
I did see some burn in at one point, but the utility provided in the set removed it easily.

Absolutely, the most stunning picture I have ever seen on a television. The World Series in HD shows the spin of the ball leaving the hand. Setup is easy and works great with the Samsung Blu Ray player. Having the ability to use Netflix and watch movies on demand just adds to the appeal of the Samsung 58". Everyone has commented on how clear the picture is shown.

Beautiful picture, no real need to adjust, easy to connect and set up. Very heavy need two people to lift safely. I watch movies, tv, sports and use my laptop for internet so I didn't get b650 model. If you want internet and netflix, etc then get higher model or buy p3600 blu ray player which has all that. You'll need usb dongle with b650 so go with player.

This is just a great TV. I have it mounted on my wall, very low profile and attractive and the picture is just great. Everything good I read about it before the purchase was true, all expectations have been met so far.

Picture is great. The sound is a little distorted from the set, I have it hooked into a reciever and it is much better that way.

This TV produces great clarity, and excellent contrast. The blacks are BLACK, unlike some LCD TVs I've seen.
There is a slight buzz from this TV, I've since checked and it's a common complaint.
It's only noticeable if the TV is muted or at low listening levels. At normal levels, it's not a problem.

Wow, what a TV, and the price was phenomenal. Beautiful design, thin for wall mounting and lighter compared to other plasma's. I also have a big LCD, but really love the plasma better. Read in some other reviews about this set humming, but mine is quiet as a mouse. Great job Abes for helping me pick this one out.

Wow! I've seen plenty of HD TVs before but have never owned one. This picture is beautiful. I have it hooked up to my HD Direct tv DVR and I get unbelievable picture quality from this tv! It's like being at the movies.. only better. There were some commnets I've read about this models buzzing. I tried long and hard yesterday to see if I heard anything.. but couldn't. This TV is about as perfect as you're going to get. The only issue is that I can't program my Direct TV remote to use all the buttons that I need for the tv. Although the volume, power, and channel buttons work, the TV input (which should be the same as "source" on the Samsung remote)does not correlate. I would highly recomend this tv to anyone. Can't wait till Football Season!!!

The whitest whites, the blackest blacks...whatever floats your boat, this TV has it. Easy install and set up. The only negative is as it relates to the universal remote...the inputs are not as simply defined as Video 1, 2 and 3...so it is difficult to run a preset to get to watch a DVD or the TiVo...
