This model, unlike the lower series, has black and color enhancers that "pop" the color out of the TV, similar (if not identical) to LCD's. Comparing to the C9's or 737's at most stores does NOT do it justice, as LCD's will look better. This series (837) also has improved speakers over the lower. I bought it for the size, but by in-store-comparisons was expecting faded colors compared to LCD, but again, the enhancers make this series have vivid color that grabs your attention. It looks the same as my LCD after adjustments. Also, it supports more display resolutions than LCD or Plasma, so your old PC games will work on it! It also does 3D, using the current market kits. This is the best choice for multi-technology users.

Had TV less than 1 month, it was white glove delivered. Used less than 2 hrs a day. Very upset that the loss of pixels is so prominent on the screen.
Color and size like being in the movie theater.

Picture quality out of the box was not good but after changing a few video settings it looks terrific. Can't beat the size of the screen for the money. Our seating is bout 10 feet back from the TV and before we ordered this one thought maybe the size would be too large for that distance but it is not, maybe should have even considered the 82". You will love it!!

I rented the 73737 series and was so blown away that when I got the chance, I bought the next in line. I am extremely happy with the quality being as this is a DLP. I have no complaints with this tv. I believe that for the price this is a much better buy for the size and picture quality than smaller more expensive lcd or plasma.

If you want to experience a great picture, sound and overall good quality buy this 73"DLP. I had a 60" and loved it so we moved it to our bedroom and now this one is in the entertainment room.

Great reception and sound. Easy setup and use. Only complaint is the number of tiny buttons they cram onto the remote control. I replaced that right away for a user friendly one.

After owning a Mitsubishi RPTV for 9 years and reading some reviews I thought I might be disappointed by getting another Mitsubishi and one of the last Rear projection TVs. The picture quality is outstanding and watching bluray dvd's on the TV are great. Regular HDTV cable broadcasts are great too. Unless you have $4000.00+ to spend on a plasma or lcd tv in a smaller size screen and you analyse every detail on the screen, this is the best bang for the buck out there. [...]
