Bypass useful for stations that have not converted to digital...a big deal if some of your favorites have not or if signal is too weak which breaks up pix & sound for digital converter, but picture and sound quality is still viewable in analog (in the yellow zone) w/ on demand signal strength meter, another feature plus!

I have all HDTV's and cable at my house but during Hurricanes or very bad weather we always loose cable. I have a whole house generator for electrical power and will buy an antenna to put in my attic and use this box on a switch in the attic to allow my TV's to pick up loccal stations.
