I researched a lot before deciding on this model. Price wise, Abe's of Main beat all the local "discount" places hands down, Was able to get the case, extra battery (recommend it), and starter DVD's (all great quality) for the price of a camera only. Instuction book was a little confusing, but using the camera made it make more sense. This is a great little camera for my needs.

Be careful when buying your mini discs. I accidentally purchased the long playing Sony DVD+R DL disks, and they would not work in the camcorder. I called Canon Tech. Support and was told I should have purchased the Sony DVD-R DL disks. "I guess I should have read the label a little closer". Maybe this should have been explained better in the instruction manual.

this product was very usefull
the camcorder is easy to work and anybody can work the device. light wieght easy to carry around
things that need to change with the device is the battery needs to be longer lasting then what is supplied with the unit. instead of buying another battery to be able to work the unit longer than 1/2 hour.

I bought this as my first DVD camcorder. It is easy to operate, and comes at a good price. I am happy with the camcorder...The mind-DVD's do not hold a lot of video, so I am going to try the dual-layer discs and see if they better meet my expectations.
