Great camcorder, very very happy with it, I did serious research and kept coming back to Canon camcorders. Nice small easy to use, can take everywhere, which is why you buy one of these camcorders

I got past the issue of plugging it in to import by getting a small USB card reader. My macbook recognizes it immediately and iMovie imports the video. No issues at all doing this, and I did not install the CD that came with the camera. My mac does it all for me automatically. The video quality is great with normal lighting conditions, and a little grainy in darker areas, but overall its what I need. The sound quality was better than expected. I decided not to get the HD models because editing them down for standard DVDs wastes so much time and the digital picture from the FS100 looks great on my 42" plasma.
