Great little camcorder

Comments about Canon FS-200 Flash Memory Camcorder - Blue:

Switched from a DVD camcorder to the FS200. Liked the compact size (extremely portable). I was looking for an SD camcorder since they are typically smaller than other types. Also, less costly to use since I do not have to purchase mini DVDs anymore. Just pick up a few SD cards (8GB give you plenty of recording time).
Great camera for capturing family events (home movies). Good image stabilization. Comes with a light that is good for illuminating close ups. Picture quality not the best (grainy when played back on a 46" TV....unlike my DVD camcorder). Does not work well in low lighting (many of them don't). Also, trying to burn to DVD or copy to a PC can be challenging (Canon software is horrible...constantly locked up my PC...had to uninstall and find other software).
I researched this camcorder (CNET, other camcorder review sites) and found it is one of the best in its price range...just don't expect too much. Overall, a nice camcorder to capture those special moments...just wish it had better software.

I would buy this camcorder again.
