Afforadable, decent manual controls, image quality is superb, sound is crisp. Plenty of add ons to customize your shooting experience. Don't forget to order an extra battery or two, and a UV filter. My only negative comment would be the manual focus ring, I wish it was around the barrel of the lens like many professional dv/hd camcorders XL2, DVX100, HVX et al.
