I bought this camera for my friend in Europe. It's popular there. It was easy to add PAL system for use in Europe. People are happy with it there. Very good quality of movies. My friend is in Wedding business, making videos of different events, mostly weddings, birthdays, etc. He loved using one and asked me to buy one for him here, since it;s a little cheaper.

We use this a lot as a camera to video church services so would like to have more video outputs so we could feed our video switch and also watch what the camera is seeing on a TV monitor. Currently we are not using the HD so are using the AV output and need a way to still see on the monitor. We are going to HD in not too long after most of the people get HDTV's.

Everything works great, even the acceceries I purchased with them. [...] The battery that comes with the camcorder from the Canon factory in the sealed box lasts over 3 hours! Besides that, great purchase for a serious videographer.
