I bought this piece recently and it is not at all a disappointing purchase.
I could not get time to explore it completely ....of course I am looking for that moment.
After so many days of research for a good camera I found this .This is a suitable and affordable one.

I bought this video camera so I can start getting those important family vacations and time together on video. Photos are great, but I think you miss the interaction between people with them. My first use with this was easy. Used outside in full sun, and it was simple. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I don't plan on taking low light videos, so I didn't need to pay attention to the night mode on this. It's perfect for my needs and I highly recommend it[...]I highly recommend another battery though. The one that it comes with lasts two hours max, and when you're on vacation you don't want to keep going back and charging the camera. I do like that I don't have to take the battery out to charge it. JVC thought that out. If you get an SD card for it, get a class 10. That'll ensure the best quality video. But, with an 80GB drive, you really don't need it. Pictures aren't bad either. I prefer using my SLR, but it's nice to have the capability to do so in a pinch. The software included with the camera is beyond easy to use. Great for a novice.

I bought this camcorder to make guitar instruction videos. I loved the laser strip that camcorderinfo hated. They also said it had great pictures. My camera vids were fuzzy, as if the autofocus was a bit off. I tried resolution settings and other things, but still nothing worth keeping from this camcorder.
I thought my Canon A620 took sharper videos. Someone with the same camera sent vids to me, and theirs looked better. But still not quite what I needed. So I bought a Vixia HF S100.
The JVC price was right. I loved most things about the JVC so much that I hated to return it. I would still reccomend it as the videos sent to me weren't that bad. However, I am more than happy with the Vixia. I get great videos from it. BUT you need a whole lot of computer to work the HUGE vixia 1080i files.

I purchased this camcorder for recording my kids soccer games. I did a lot of research before deciding that this camcorder had the features that I wanted. I am happy with my purchase so far. I've been able to record two indoor soccer games so far and the video footage is as I expected it. It is very simple to use. I did have a bit of trouble the first time I tried to upload to my computer but eventually figured out how to do it. It was fairly simple to copy to a DVD also. I have not tried the upconvert feature yet.

This is a great little camera & I got a good deal on it! I've mainly used it for home videos but it gets the job done! It is very small and compact, as all compareable camers are, which is nice, but is probably easier for women to use since men have bigger hands. You get used to it after awhile, though. My hubby is left-handed so it's hard for him to use, too, since the hand strap is on the right side, so he leaves the videos up to me! Other than that, it's easy to operate and I love the hard drive! I'm so glad I decided to get a hard drive camera instead of just a flash drive one. It's nice to be able to store videos on the hard drive without an SD card, yet you still have the option to use one if you want. I also like that it has a sort of "flash" light that you can set to turn on automatically when needed in low-light situations. I haven't converted files on my computer to DVD yet, but watching back on the camera has been fine. The battery seems to last a pretty good amount of time, but you might want to buy an extra one if you're traveling a lot.

I started to get a mini-Sony camcorder, you know they are cute, small, but pricey. A guy educated me on them one day while at Best Buy. I tested them all out, had my mind set on the Sony. I picked this JVC camcorder up, started zooming around the store- There was absolutely no comparison. The image stabilization is remarkable. I couldn't get a better camcorder. So, glad the guy saved me from making a big mistake. I also have had an older JVC camcorder, (8mm) it is still working to this day, have had no problems with it at all, except short battery life- have to charge a lot. But, I wanted to start saving our ballgames and family movies to DVD and the computer, or my older one would still be just fine. JVC has seriously got it going on!

Going from a Panasonic PV-GS400 to the JVC GZ-MG670 is something of a mixed bag. The video quality isn't as good as I expected nor as good as YouTube videos seemed to show, but on the other hand the JVC cost about half as much as I paid for my Panasonic. I have to wonder, though, what's the point of being able to upconvert to HD if the original video is barely VHS quality? I noticed lots of jagged edges in videos made with the JVC set to its highest quality (not much of a point in setting it lower) and some awful purple fringing under certain circumstances. It's also not very intuitive to find and use certain settings, such as manual white balance, but the auto setting is actually better than on my Panasonic. Another feature I miss is being able to fade in and out while shooting. If there's a way to do that I can't find it. In some ways, such as automatic backlight compensation, it's easier to use than my Panasonic, and not having to use those stupid tapes or being limited to 90 minutes of video at a time is fantastic! One other thing that could be very helpful is the JVC's battery position on the camcorder. With the Panasonic there was no way to either charge a battery or have the battery in place in case of power failure, but JVC thoughtfully placed the battery port below the power connection so you can use both at the same time - very helpful to me. So is the camcorder worth using? It depends on your needs. I would hate to shoot a wedding with it, but casual users or anyone who doesn't need the highest video quality should be well pleased.

Holds more Video than you would expect to shoot on an average vacation.Would be helpful if the LIGHT Control was easier to get to.Battery life is fair/recharge time only fair.Recomend 3 batteries if you plan on shooting past an 8 hour day.Picture quality is very good for the cost. This seems to be abetter unit than the earlier models of the 30GB

I would purchase a lithium battery to go with it that will last 4 hours on a charge - great camcorder and it only weighs .75 lb - easy to use - the wide/tight adjustment next to the screen is handy, but I like having the traditional toggle button on the camcorder also. I like the fact it upconverts to HD

This is my first camcorder and I never owned a camera before. It has great zoom capacity. But I think that it needs some photo grade lenses as I wasn't able to capture the details of a jelly fish in the water. I travelled parts of Europe with it and now have wonderful memories both on picture and movies to cherish
