I needed an expensive camera to film clinical work I am doing on the graduate level. Most of my classes involve a client and project revolving around a video of that client. Before this camcorder, I had nothing to film them with.

While it does not pack as clear an image in low lighting, it is a very good quality camera for the cost. Of course it isn't going to compare to a 600 dollar camera. Some of the reviews are far too harsh. It picks up the sound great. I had to run around a backyard and listen to children directing me what to do.

It's so easy to operate the kids I filmed played with it. It's user friendly, it plugs right into the USB port. It takes rechargeable double A's. I like this feature because I can save money with the charger provided, but in a pinch, I can substitute any double A battery without missing the moment.

The size is also really convenient. My brother and his wife have a new baby, and she instantly wanted my camera. They have a very expensive digital camera, but for everyday runs to the park, the quality and convenience of this camera is perfectly suitable. It is also good to throw in a diaper bag, pocketbook, coat pocket, etc just in case something comes up.

I was leary because of some of the reviews, and unless you're a Hollywood director, this camera should suit your basic video needs. I would be lost without mine, and it is much better than filming it using the video option of a digital camera. I am glad I bought it, I've already used it multiple times. The battery life is great too. I had it running a good 2 hours and still had juice to spare.

I used the Kodak ZI6 on a weekend getaway vacation and it was fantastic! I love the small size and it is so easy to use. I had heard that the controls were a bit clumsy but I had no issues. The quality is very good and this camera is much more convenient to carry around than my Sony miniDV camera. I used the ZI6 both indoors and outside and unless you are in a dark museum, this camera works well in most lighting. If you are looking for a compact video camera for vacation, this is it!!! highly recommended... as for the video transfer to DVD, I haven't used the software provided as I already own the Sony Movie Studio software so I can't comment on the ease of use of the provided software. It also comes with the cables to connect directly to a TV so that is a major plus! One recommendation: invest in a good carrying case as the USB attachment tends to pop out randomly if you just put the camera in your pocket or bag from being jostled around.

I bought the camera to record my dance class, to review the steps at home. Last night I used it, and was pleased at the quality and simplicity, in a light challenged room. Now I can practice those moves in front of the TV, and learn them well.
Last week I travelled to Lake Tahoe and shot vista pictures, to show my clients and prospects. Again, the setup was very easy, and the pictures were superb. I even stopeed skiing to take view pictures, and love the size and ease.
Well worth the money.

We use the product around the house and neighborhood. Also take it in the vehicle - you never know when you need to video or take a picture to share with someone i.e. found something shopping but wanted to get second opinion, trade shows, etc.

I'm not shooting a Speilberg or anything, just fun shots of our puppy at play. Good quality image, except in low light settings. It has a tripod mount I have yet try out. If used it would definitely reduce hand shake issues due to it's small size.

I like this product, it is very easy to use and navigate. This is great for anyone who is not technology savvy. It is so light weight it almost seems too fragile so I have been handling it very carefully in fear of breaking it. Otherwise a great pick!
