Bought the Zi6 for travel use and while it is compact and has good resolution it has taken quite a bit of time to interface the captured video with the computer. Instructions are very limited and followup with Kodak has not been helpful.

I found the Zi6 to be a very handy camera, both picture quality and decent sound. After transferring the video to my pc for dvd burning, I found the picture to be of a much higher quality than my 5 year old handheld Sony model. It is far easier to carry around due to it's size and easy to control. I do not plan on using under low light or distant filming, as I realize that this is a limitation of the camera, but for regular indoor/outdoor films, this camera will do the trick.

This is a very nice compact camera. The video is extremely good, but the still pictures are of poor quality. There isn't much zoom, either. It's great for close videos and travel.

The only real issue for me with the camea is the lens. If you are filming something close make sure to keep checking your distance. Maybe the next gen will have a better use of zoom. But for what it's worth, this is a very good camera!

I would have given this product 5 stars for use for the casual user, however, the lack of a paper instruction booklet kept me from that. You have to acces the website for more info, and I like to read paper instructions.

We've been using the new Zi6 to shoot short videos of the kids and so far we love it. Its very easy to use and the picture and sound quality are worth the [$] for a casual user. Abes of Maine has always been good to me. Thanks

The Zi6 is really nice. It's sleek, comfortable, light, and easy to use. It's basically as small as a blackberry, and that means you can take it anywhere. Plus, it comes with a nice little drawstring bag. I took it all over the south of France in the "hand warmer" pocket of my coat this winter. all of the colors are pure and representative as you'd expect from anything HD, and the sound isn't too shabby either. the pop-out USB jack is pretty sexy, and utterly convenient too. In my opinion, this is a much better value and much smarter buy than the some of the other similarly priced and featured cameras out there, because it takes SDHD cards, and doesn't limi you to a 60 minute hard drive. Also, Kodak has a reputation for being high quality, and this little camera is not inconsistent with that.
