We use both the still images and the video. It has been really nice to not have to carry two cameras with us. We got this one after our previous model (the one just a step down from this one) died on us after going to Sea World and water got on it. We like almost everything about this camera except that it does not like to focus very well when taking still images. The recommendation I would have is to take still images ONLY in still image mode. Do not take images in the video mode because it doesn't focus very well.

Nice Camera.
I have used Sony cammies few years.
Works good and no more cassettes to be carried.
Overall I found it good buy with decent features and decent price.
I miss 2 things
1] Optical View Finder
2] Wide angel should have been 33 or 35 (It has 42 I think)

I use this when I travel places. The in built 60 GB memory is a great feature which I liked a lot. The docking station is good.

Very light, easy to use. Decent battery life. Picture quality is lacking. I took various recordings during my vacation to Disney and I didn't think the picture quality was as good as my Sony 8mm camcorder I was replacing. I was expecting it to be better.

I would buy this product again.

I use this camera for taking video's of my daughters track meets. My biggest complaint is that it doesn't have a view finder and the screen is impossible to see in bright light. Other than that I really like the camera.
It is very easy to transfer movies from the hard drive to the dvd and it is so nice to not have to buy tapes and run out in the middle of an event.
