This camera is as compact as it can get.It is very handy and the storage is 30GB which is just the combination one would need in a camcorder- Size and Storage. Beats the other products by just these two. The clarity of the videos are very good and is worth the money. Go for it!!!!!

We purchased the Sony DCR-SR45 camcorder to mainly record the grandkids. We take pictures of them on almost a daily basis and also videos. The videos made from our regular digital cameras left a lot to be desired. The Sony camcorder filled that void. I like the fact that the videos are made in wide screen format so I know that we will appreciate that feature for years to come. The Nightshot feature is very nice for getting videos in darkness. We have even played "Ghost Hunter" with them while making videos. Decent editing software comes with the camcorder. The "Steady Shot" feature really works well to help eliminate shaky video. All in all, I really like this camcorder and find it hard to beat for the price.

Strongly recommend this. Elegant and wonderful for your home videos. Cute little one with nice gripping. Battery life is less so it requires additional Battery if you have a longer shooting duration.
