Very handy and easy to carry. Image quality and zoom range are very good.
I copy all my movies to a PC for save and edit. Sony should provide the codec for Windows media as part of the purchase at least as long as the wmp does not cover MTS files as part of the standard package.

I PLUG THE CAMERA INTO A HDMI OUTPUT ON MY LCD TV. YOU WILL NEED A MINI HDMI CABLE TO ATTACH, BUT WHAT GREAT PICTURE QUALITY. I LOVE THIS CAMERA. YOU WILL WANT A HANDLE OR TELESCOPING STAND FOR THIS CAMERA IF YOU ARE DOING ACTION SHOTS. THE CAMERA IS SO SMALL THAT YOUR HANDS COVER THE WHOLE CAMERA. IT IS SMOOTH AND EASY SHOOTING WITH A SINGLE "STICK" HANDLE.

Upgrading from an 8mm camcorder, this camera is so light weight, compact, easy to use and the picture quality is fantastic. Video from Big Bend National Park is so clear. Video from my son's track meets has been great. The still shots are ok. The 8mm is 17 years old and it was time for an upgrade.
