i thought this would be great for some of my artistic video projects. never trust the LED screen! once i tested the image and resolution on a larger monitor and screen - it was just terrible!!! the quality is slightly better than youtube videos. the picture was pixelating and dithering. i was shocked this was marketed as HD quality. i returned the camera instantly.

I have used this camcorder . its light , amazing quality of videos ... the only part i didnt like is the time it takes to convert those videos into DVD,. it takes 7 hours for 1 hours video recording ..

Overall i would recommend this camcorder ....

Works well in dim lighting. Recommend the stereo microphone add-on to catch more peripheral sound. Easy to use and has plenty of good features. Very happy I bought it. If you want something with some extra bells & whistles, check out the SR11 or SR12. Excellent series of camcorders. HiDef is great!

There are only three things I dont like about this camera, but overall its great. If you set the video to fade in or out, it only will do it for the one time you press record/stop. It will then reset. The image stabilizer could be better, and the night shot is not the greatest. Overall, I really like this camera.
