I took this camcorder to Europe for a motorcycle tour of the Alps. The pictures came out beautiful. I was surprised how well the picture stablization worked. I took pictures while riding on the back of the cycle and they came out well.

Used this camcorder for a visit to Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks. Amazing zoom in and out focus feature. Picture quality is excellent. Stabilization feature works great too. Sound was fine. Took a few still photos just to see how it would look. They turned out okay. I had used other cameras for still photos. Purchased a small Sony carrying pouch-Item model:number: LCS-BBD/B. The camcorder fits in the bag perfectly. You can add a spare small battery in the pouch. Add a clip to the pouch and you have a perfect set up for hiking, etc. Playback viewing on my TV was no problem. However, making a movie DVD will require additional software/hardware.

I love this HD Video cam, No more worry about running out of tape or record room...I use my video cam for family vacations, the picture quality on this camera is great!! another feature I like is the fact that you can take a great picture while recording video with no interruption, the 3 mega pixels takes a nice picture too. I also bought the 8GB memory card which holds 10000 pictures...again no more worries about running out of memory!! LOVE IT!!!

This product is doing exactly what I need it to do - casual movie making of our newborn in HD. If anything, the sound is not as sensitive as I may have thought/hoped. That aside, I would definitely recommend this product for the casual user.

Nice one to have it..if u want to remember son/daughter , what fun they did when they were child ? . u want to remember what happened when you want to SFO / Vegas and san Diego trip.. this is best camcorder.

HD picture is really nice.. i give 9.5/10 only thing is missing is
external mic input and automatically shutter cover closing and opening.

The performance in low light is pretty good. Not great (by HD standards), but good enough. I would not be scared off by reviews that say otherwise, as I almost was. For a camera of its size, it does as well as you can expect in low light.

We bought this camcorder to go to Disney World since it has an internal hard drive and I did not want to worry about running out of tapes or memory sticks. I also purchased an extended battry so I would not worry about running out of power. I was not dissapointed with either. we shot hours of video in the 6 days we were there and had plenty of storage and power (charged the battery each night) to spare. I used the incuded software to edit down and burn some of the video to DVD and it did a fine job. My sister is going to Disney world this fall and now she is looking at buying this camcorder for her trip. I am by no means a Pro when it comes to video and editing but this little camcorder did everything I needed and produced great looking video even when burned to DVD so I am very pleased with it.
