This a crystal clear real deal HD. My clients and family love it. It has so many more options than I expected such as a close up shot with blur background. Skin tone is so beautiful, I would recommend to any use for anyone.

When I got the camcorder in the mail and upon opening the box I was immediately impressed... not only did the camcorder come with all the bare necessities, it also came with some nice extras which include a remote control, and both SD and HD TV inputs. Below is an overview of the camcorder starting with the bad.
The Bad
The only two complaints I have about the camcorder out of the box is the battery life, if you plan to use the standard battery with this camcorder on a long trip you better just record your favourite parts or have a way to charge it very often because the battery life is around 30 - 45 minutes depending on the features you are using. I found if you turn off the GPS feature you tend to get a little more life out of it. Granted this can be taking care of by purchasing extra batteries or getting an extended battery, but this review is based solely on what its like out of the box.
The only other complaint is recording in low light situations it does better than most camcorders I have used in low light situations thus why I marked it as decent. However if its really low light the objects and people you try to film will have little distinguishing features since all you really get is a silhouette. This to can easily be avoided by purchasing a light for the camcorder which can be had for a reasonable price.
The Good
With the huge 160GB Hard Drive and the SD slot on the camcorder you have little problem running out of room so as long as you have it plugged in or have extra batteries you'll be able to get your whole trip or event without any worries of running out of space.
One of the best things about this camcorder is its video quality... after recording some things I hooked it up to my 73' HDTV and was blown away, the quality was astounding, very good image stabilization when I was panning around was great no delays or jumpy images as I was moving the camcorder to focus on something else. It done well in both indoor and outdoor situations and gave beautiful HD picture quality and color in every instance I used it.
The other good things about it that are note worthy is that the options and menu's are easy to navigate, you can transfer data straight to an external Hard Drive without the need of a PC, you have the GPS feature which is neat and fun to use although when recording at home it seems kinda useless...
In conclusion
This camcorder is a great buy and worthy every penny. I would recommend it to anyone wanting a great HD camcorder that is easy to use with outstanding picture quality. The two cons mentioned above can be easily remedied with a couple of accessories, really leaving no cons at all in my opinion.
