The new Extra Refractive Index (XR) glass used in manufacturing which helps in overall compactness of the lens while maintaining the same aperture values as previous lens. To achieve the best image quality and high performance Tamron 17-50 mm f 2.8 LD Di II lens is constructed using two Hybrid Aspheric Lens elements. This lens is top-level in its class maintaining 0.9 feet (27 cm) of minimum focusing distance throughout its entire zoom range. Tamron's SP AF 17-50 mm offers a wider angle with autofocusing option. Due to its wide-angle focal length of 17mm, this lens is suitable for indoor photography. Special Internal Surface coatings to reduce the reflection of light inside the lens, thus eliminates ghosting and flare.
