How do I place an order?

Abe`s Of Maine offers different options on how to place an order, so it can be most convenient to our customers.

  • Call us toll free at (800) 992-2237 / (800) 339-2237 and speak to one of our well-informed salesmen who`ll be eager to answer your questions about different products.
  • Visit us on-line 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and navigate our site. Following instructions on how to proceed with the links leading to our shopping cart.
  • Abe's of Maine is not responsible for any specification/price/feature errors.

Which methods of payment can be used when placing an order?
Abe`s Of Maine accepts all major credit cards including, VISA, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and Diners Club. We also accept Government purchase orders. Information such as your current billing address and phone number is required in order to avoid any delays in processing your order. Please allow 24-72 Hours for Processing on all orders. Once your order is verified and ready to ship we then charge your credit card.

  • Money orders should be made out in US dollars.
  • Personal and Company checks are acceptable when issued by a US bank.
  • Purchase Orders are accepted, subject to verification and approval by our Credit Department at (800) 992-2379.
  • Wire transfers are made possible by our Credit Dept. as well. Please call the above number for procedure guidance.

Are there any additional costs other than those listed on-line?
Total charges will include precisely what is indicated on our web site. It will comprise of the items ordered, plus shipping & handling based on shipping location. A local sales tax will be calculated on the total order of your merchandise when shipped within New Jersey. Resale certificates and tax exempt forms should be faxed to our Credit Department at (732) 379 -5026. No sales tax will be applied to orders shipped out of New Jersey.

Order Acceptance and Limitations
Any order confirmation (electronic or paper receipt) given to you through Abe's of Maine does not signify our acceptance of your order, nor does it constitute confirmation of an offer to sell. Abe's of Maine reserves the right to decline and cancel an order, or supply less than quantity ordered at any time.

Given the popularity and shortage of some items, we may at times have to restrict the quantity of a particular item ordered. We will notify you if we are unable to accommodate your order. Abe's of Maine may, at its own discretion, limit or cancel quantities purchased per person, per household or per order.

We do not sell to dealers, resellers, exporters, wholesalers, or customers who intend on reselling products offered through Abe's of Maine.

We endeavor to publish accurate selling prices for the products we offer. However on occasion we do make mistakes. What are your shipping rates?
All shipping rates are calculated in the shopping cart based on the items in the shopping cart and shipping destination. All parcels are shipped ground shipping unless an upgrade shipping method is requested. Your total charges will be shown to you before you enter any information (IE. Name, address, etc.)

Do you carry different products other than those listed on-line?

Due to the continual expansion of the market, as well as certain manufacturer�s restrictions we are often unable to list all the merchandise and choices of different brands we actually have available. Abe`s Of Maine has a Verisign certificate assuring that all information that is entered is encrypted and cannot be accessed by any outsider. All transactions are 100% secure. You can be fully assured that none of the provided information will be sold or imparted for trade or sale. Our customer�s satisfaction has been our priority since 1979.

What are your shipping regulations for orders shipped within the US?
Abe`s Of Maine can ship to any business or residential area as long as a physical address is provided and the order passes all of our security regulations. All packages, regardless of its destination, require signature at delivery time. Delays should be expected with all parcels going to PO Boxes. Shipments going to hotels, or motels, must be prepaid either by wire transfer or with a money order issued by a US bank. Shipping rates are based on zip code locations and calculated in shopping cart prior to checkout. Abe`s Of Maine reserves the right to hold and/or delay any order indefinitely due to suspicion of of fraudulent activity. We are required to charge NJ Sales tax to all orders shipped within the state of NJ. We do not accept resale certificates. We do accept Tax exempt certificates from Non-Profit organizations.

What are your shipping regulations for orders shipped out of the US?

Because of the growing concern over Internet fraud and the general imperfect process of verifying International Orders we have made certain requirements necessary in order to complete orders billed or shipped overseas:

  • Only Wire Transfer can be used for Overseas Orders. (excludes Canada and Mexico)
  • No orders will be shipped out if verification cannot be confirmed, Regardless of destination country. International orders are subject to additional shipping charges, and generally take 7-10 days from date of shipment to arrive, depending on the customs procedures of the destination country. Please check with your country�s customs office for precise charges. The Shipment Carrier (UPS, Fed Ex, Airborne Express) prepays these charges before shipment is commenced. Abe�s Of Maine assumes no responsibility with respect to these procedures or any tariffs, duties, or other such restrictions & charges imposed and/or enforced by the destination country. If the order is refused the customer is responsible for both duties incurred at the border of the respective country and shipment back to the U.S. At this time all Laptop orders must have a billing AND shipping address within the continental U.S. Please be aware that shipping costs are estimates, and subject to change. Even if the order is verified, UPS or FEDEX may charge more to ship your item due to its Size/Weight or Destination Country. If this occurs, we will contact you with other shipment options. You have the right to cancel the order if this occurs.

What Do the shipping rates for televisions on our website include?
Today`s TVs are sophisticated and delicate pieces of electronic equipment. We primarily use 3 methods of shipment, each with its own unique options.

1. For smaller TVs we use UPS (There are several time and shipping method options available depending upon the specific TV)

2. Larger TVs are shipped using Icat Ground Services (7-10 business days) or Icat Expedited Services (3-5 business days) which include two options detailed below.

A. Threshold Delivery: If you are scheduled for a threshold delivery your television will not be brought into your home. Please note that the bottom of the box may be dirty. The delivery driver will bring your television as close to your door as possible without physically lifting or navigating up or down any stairs.

B. White Glove Delivery: A 2-person delivery team will be entering your home with your shipment, unless you`d prefer otherwise. Be prepared to indicate where you would like them to place your shipment prior to their arrival. Please keep in mind the delivery team is not contracted to do any installations or move furniture, however they will remove the packaging unless otherwise directed. You can expect the delivery team to remove the product from the box outside your entryway. Please prepare an area within your home that has adequate protection from the box staining your floor or carpet since the bottom of the box may be dirty.

Abesofmaine.com is not responsible for any delays cause by affiliated shipping carriers, please be aware that delivery times are estimated and no guaranteed.

All packages are inspected for damages before they ship from our warehouse.

Are there Exclusions to our Free Ground Shipping Promotion on Products?
Free ground shipping offer is not available for international orders, or orders shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, or any other destination requiring air service by water. Please call for price quote on shipping.

How can I check the current status of an order, or change info on an order that was already placed?
All credit/debit cards are charged within 24 hours of when the order is placed pending verification. One to two business days should be allotted before calling (800) 992-2379 to check status of your order. Order status and On-line tracking information is now available by clicking the Tracking link on the top of the page. To make any type of changes on your order after it has already been processed call our customer service department at (800) 992-2379 ext 2.

What is your return policy?
Abe`s Of Maine Cameras and Electronics is committed to your satisfaction. Returnable Products may be returned within thirty (30) days of your product`s shipping date for all photo equipment, digital imaging products, and video. Equipment must be new and factory-fresh. - From and after thirty (30) days from your product�s shipping date, we cannot accept returns of any product. If you require Technical Support, Manufacturer Warranty information, Product Manuals or Repair Locations, please contact the Certain exclusions apply to the 30 day return policy: These items may not be returned or exchanged.

  • All Camcorders that use a Hard Drive or Flash Drive are not returnable for refund. They can be exchanged for the same unit if defective within 7 days.
  • Special Order Merchandise
  • Digital Picture Frames can only be returned for an exchange if defective within 7 days of receipt of product.
  • DVD/CD Publishers
  • ID / Key Card Printers
  • Projection Bulbs
  • Satellite Receivers
  • Audio / Video Furniture. This includes all Television stands and Furniture.
  • Musical Instruments: Up to 21 days. Must include all original packaging, materials and documentation. All items can be returned except for items that contain software that has been opened, or items that are considered personal such as mouthpieces, microphones, earphones and strings. Due to health laws once a microphone has been opened we cannot accept it back.
  • Pro Audio: Up to 30 days. All hardware can be returned, except opened software. Must include all original packaging, materials.
  • A/V Receivers, DVD recorders, Blu-Ray DVD players and all recorders cannot be returned. In the event they are defective they carry a manufacturers warranty. All other audio products have a 7 day return policy.
  • All DJ Equipment have a 7 day return policy. This excludes all recorders and items that contain hard drives.
  • Car Equipment that has not been installed can be returned within 7 days
  • Any installed car equipment cannot be returned to us. Please contact the manufacturer directly for support.
  • GPS Navigation Systems can be returned for refund or exchange within 14 days. Navigon GPS Units cannot be returned. If defective, they must be returned to the manufacturer for repair
  • Projectors may be returned to us only if defective. Exchanges are for same model number only. If defective, exchanges must be made within 7 days of acceptance of delivery. Absolutely no refunds will be given on Projectors
  • Laptops may be returned to us only if defective. Exchanges are for same model number only. If defective, exchanges must be made within 7 days of acceptance of delivery. Absolutely no refunds will be given on laptops.
  • Please be informed that there are NO returns or exchanges on any televisions.
  • There are NO returns or exchanges on Apple iPod's.
  • Air Conditioners cannot be returned or exchanged.
  • Musical Instruments: Drum Sets and Cymbals are non-returnable items.
  • There are no Refunds or Exchanges on Recreational items. Please contact the manufacturer for any issues you may have.
  • Nintendo WII Can not be returned or exchanged if defective you must call the manufacturer
  • Home Theatre Systems can not be returned for an exchange or refund. If defective you must contact the manufacturer directly.
  • We will not accept returns for any product that contains a hard drive. If the product is defective, you must return it to the manufacturer directly. We cannot accept returns for any products with a hard drive.
  • Printers- once the ink is installed printers can not be returned or exchanged. Please contact the manufacturer directly
  • Shavers- once used can not be returned or exchanged due to health regulations
  • Only brand new and sealed Small Appliances will be accepted for return within 7 days of receipt. All used or opened appliances cannot be returned. If the item is defective please contact the manufacturer. Due to health regulations we cannot accept returns on these items.
  • Any computer hardware and input devices may not be returned once opened. Defective items can be returned for the same item only within 7 days.
  • Headphones may be returned to us only if defective. Exchanges are for same model number only. exchanges must be made within 7 days of acceptance of delivery. Absolutely no refunds will be given on Headphones.
  • All house ware appliances may be returned to us only if defective. Exchanges are for same model number only. Exchanges must be made within 7 days of acceptance of delivery. Absolutely no refunds will be given on house ware appliances.
  • Home security products have a 7 day return for exchange only. Exchange can only be made for the same model number only.
  • We do not accept returns on ANY Digital Converter Boxes.

Merchandise can be returned only if in original manufacturer's packaging, same condition as sold, with all literature/instructions/documentation, blank warranty cards and all supplied accessories. If warranty cards are filled or if rebate forms are filled these items can not be returned for exchange or refund. Place the manufacturer's box into a shipping carton. Please do not place stickers or shipping labels on the original manufacturer`s package. Please do not mark the original manufacturer�s box with any writing. Ship to us pre-paid. For your protection insure the package and ship via a traceable method. Abe�s is not responsible for lost or damaged packages.

The customer is responsible for the return shipping to our warehouse. In the case of a defective exchange, Abe�s of Maine will provide and pay for the outbound shipping for replaced merchandise.

Merchandise that ships via truck cannot be returned for refund or exchange, nor can these orders be cancelled or refused once shipped. (We may refuse your return or charge for return shipping).

TV/Big Screen/Rear Projection/Monitor Purchase Policy

TV/Big Screen/Rear Projection/Monitor purchases are special orders and can only be canceled prior to the shipment of the order. Customers cannot cancel an order that is en route.

TV/Big Screen/Rear Projection/Monitor comes with full Manufacturers Warranties. Most include in-home service.

TV/Big Screen/Rear Projection/Monitors are not returnable to AbesOfMaine.com. If initially defective they must be serviced by an Authorized Service Technician. AbesOfMaine.com can help you locate your nearest Authorized Service Technician.

Upon delivery, it is the consumer�s sole responsibility to inspect the TV/Big Screen/Rear Projection/ Monitor to insure that it is not physically damaged.

DO NOT SIGN the delivery manifest until you have inspected the TV/Big Screen/Rear Projection/Monitor. Once you sign for the item, you are signing acceptance of the product physically as is and CANNOT refute the charges for a physically damaged unit from that point forward.

If the merchandise is damaged, please make a notation on the delivery manifest, and have the delivery person sign as a witness to the damage.

If you are refusing the delivery of the TV and it is not damaged, you are responsible for the shipping, handling, and insurance charges for the delivery BOTH WAYS. Please note that a refund will be issued for the cost of the product only. You will NOT be reimbursed for the shipping, handling, and insurance charges.

If your television does arrive damaged please contact our customer service department immediately at 800-992-2237 ext 207 so that we can arrange for a replacement to be shipped out.

Please note that all televisions with 6 or less dead pixels is industry standard for all manufacturer�s. There will be no refunds or exchanges for television with 6 or less dead pixels.

Large Appliances

All appliance purchases are special orders and can only be cancelled prior to the shipment of the order. Customers cannot cancel an order that is en route.

All appliances come with full Manufacturers warranties. Most include in-home service

Appliances are not returnable to Abe`s of Maine. If initially defective, they must be services by an authorized service technician. Abe`s of Maine can help you locate your nearest authorized service technician. This applies to Air Conditioners as well.

If your item does arrive damaged please contact our customer service department immediately at 1-800-992-2237.

Upon delivery, it is the consumer�s sole responsibility to inspect the Large Appliance to insure that it is not physically damaged.

Price Adjustments

AbesofMaine.com prices are determined by the cost of the product when purchased from our distributor. Due to fluctuating wholesale costs from our distributors prices may vary daily. Abe�s Of Maine offers the lowest current price possible. We cannot offer price protection since our distributors do not offer it to us. There will be no price adjustments given once your order is shipped. This is the only way we can ensure that we give our customers the best price possible.

NO RETURNS WILL BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT A RMA #

If any of the above conditions are not met, Abe�s reserves the right either to refuse the return or to charge a restocking fee of not less than 15%. Abe�s of Maine will not accept a return of any product that is missing any

manufacturer supplied accessories or if there is obvious damage or visible wear and tear to the unit. Shipping and handling charges are not refundable. Return RMA# are valid for 10 days. Merchandise must reach us within 10 days of receiving the return RMA#. Please call (800)-992-2379 Ext. 4 to get a return RMA number.

Each product sold on this site is packaged with applicable manufacturer`s warranty and service information detailing specific terms and conditions. We encourage you to complete the product registration information and return any registration cards to the manufacturer so that they can contact you if necessary in the future. Abe`s of Maine is not an authorized reseller of certain of the products listed for sale on this site. To be an authorized reseller, manufacturers may require that Abe`s of Maine abide by manufacturer`s suggested and minimum selling prices* Abe`s of Maine would not be able to provide you with the low cost of the products sold on this site if Abe`s of Maine were to comply with certain manufacturer`s suggested and minimum selling prices.
