I will start by saying that I have always considered super Zooms a dirty word. I shot weddings and mostly used primes and premium lenses until I found this gem. This is the proverbial Excellent for nothing, very good for everything. Colors and focusing accuracy are fantastic, the lens is very good with my D800. Very close to the 70-200 F2.8, and very close to the 14-24 F2.8. Not the same but close, fantastic vacation lens or to have on the back up camera. I love it! I paid 1200.00 when it came out 5 years ago roughly. I love it more today, it is worth three times its price.
